Job description

This is a FoodLabs  portfolio venture. Find out more about us and other opportunities in the portfolio here.

About the venture

This venture was started by two engineers with unique experience - one worked on electric drones and hydrogen planes, and the other worked on advanced AI projects at BMW and Google. We are redesigning tractors to make farming smarter, more efficient and sustainable. Our tractor is simpler, autonomous, and runs on a large battery. It will be able to connect to satellites, act as a hub for smart devices, and even be used in mining or tough logistics jobs.

Were currently a team of five, looking for a technician to join us full-time at our workshop in Valencia, Spain. As the technician, youʼll work directly with the founders to turn ideas and designs into real, working prototypes. Your day-to-day tasks will include manufacturing parts, assembling components, wiring harnesses, and solving problems as they come up. If youʼre someone who enjoys hands-on work, can figure things out on your own, and likes fixing tough problems, this is the role for you.

If you like working on cutting-edge technology and want to be part of a small, motivated team, weʼd love to hear from you

About our company language: we are an English speaking team and require fluent English for this role. Your interviews will be held in English.

What you will work on

Youʼll be performing the hands-on manufacturing and assembly of our electric tractor prototype, supporting both the engineering and field testing phases. You will:

  • Perform tasks such as wiring, soldering, welding, and installing mechanical and electrical components.

  • Assemble  and  manufacture  components  for  the  electric  tractor  prototype  according to engineering specifications.

  • Conduct  testing  and  quality  checks  to  ensure  assembled  systems  meet  performance standards.

  • Assist in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting tractors during field tests.

  • Provide  feedback  to  engineers  based  on your hands-on experience to help improve product designs.

Job requirements

What we value

  • High school diploma or equivalent practical experience; additional vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or automotive technology is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly, ideally in the automotive or agricultural sectors, using tools and equipment for fabrication and welding.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to solve technical issues.

  • Willingness to travel and work in outdoor (remote) testing environments.

  • Excellent  communication  skills  and  the  ability  to  work  effectively  with cross-functional teams including mechanical design engineers
