About the Venture

At oni we have the ambition to redefine grab & go food for the next generation of consumers. Our mission is to bring tasty, more affordable, and convenient food options to millions of people across Europe. We are starting up our operations in Berlin before expanding across several German and European cities to become the market leader in our category.

We envision a future where convenient food options are synonymous with warm hospitality, beautiful spaces, and engaged communities. We want even the quickest food experience to be infused with all the positive emotions associated with sharing a meal. Founded by leaders with extensive backgrounds in food-tech, e-commerce, and food retail across Europe, oni is backed by top-tier VC investors and prominent business angels from the food sector.

We’re now looking for our first store manager to help us realise this vision and lay the foundation for several upcoming new openings in the following months.

What Success Looks Like in the Early Months:

  • You have successfully managed the daily operations of our first location in Berlin Mitte, ensuring seamless service and outstanding customer experiences.
  • You have effectively implemented operational protocols and standards that maintain high quality and efficiency.
  • Your leadership has ensured that the store team is highly motivated, well-trained, and consistently delivers excellent service.
  • You have maintained tight control over inventory and operational costs to ensure profitability and sustainability.
  • You have fostered a culture of hospitality that makes every customer interaction memorable and aligns with our brand values.
  • You have built strong community relations that enhance our brand presence and ensure we are a positive local presence.
  • You have navigated the complexities of local regulations and compliance to ensure smooth store operations.
  • You have replicated successful strategies and processes to prepare for scaling to additional locations.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • +2 years' experience in management within the food retail or consumer industry, ideally with exposure to fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with a strong focus on operations and customer service.
  • Deep understanding of Berlin's diverse communities and what it means to resonate locally from one Kiez to the next.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication skills, ambition, and a hands-on approach.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to priorities, responsiveness, quality, and deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is essential, fluent German is a strong plus.
