About the Venture

Deutsche Sanierungsberatung (dsb) is one of Germany’s fastest-growing energy technology companies, delivering end-to-end solutions to upgrade and decarbonise residential buildings. Since launching in 2024, they’ve served over 3,000 customers and built a scalable platform that is transforming a multi-billion-euro market.

They are now launching a new business unit designed to complement the existing portfolio and unlock major growth opportunities. This is a rare chance to build and lead a business inside a high-growth venture – backed by proven resources, strong market access, and a trusted brand.

About the Role

This is not a “shadow-the-founders” role - it’s your mandate to operate as the founder of your own unit. You’ll have full autonomy to shape the research, define the scope, set the strategy, and execute – with the responsibility to deliver results.

  • Full ownership – Lead the new unit with your own budget, P&L responsibility, and control over strategic direction.

  • Zero-to-one and beyond – Define the value proposition, go-to-market plan, and operating model, then scale at pace.

  • Build and lead a lean team – Recruit, develop, and manage top-tier talent to deliver against ambitious goals.

  • Direct founder access – Benefit from rapid decision-making and close strategic alignment with dsb’s leadership.

Job requirements

About You

  • You are a high-achieving, entrepreneurial operator with the hunger to build something from scratch and the discipline to make it succeed.

  • 2–4 years’ experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up, ideally in a product-focused environment.

  • Experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, or private equity is highly valuable.

  • Proven track record of overachievement – consistently delivering exceptional results in demanding, fast-paced settings.

  • Strong commercial instincts – able to spot, size, and capture growth opportunities quickly and decisively.

  • Highly analytical and structured, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a bias for action.

  • Comfortable making decisions and moving fast in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.

  • Full fluency in both German and English.

  • Bonus: hands-on exposure to digital product development or working closely with product and engineering teams.
